SOL/USDT Daily Analysis: Breakout Faces Critical Test at $94–$98 Floor

Solana Daily Chart: Stage 2 Breakout Faces Critical $94–$98 Test

Solana’s daily structure is no longer mid-range noise. The market has completed a full stage sequence and is now sitting on the first genuine test of its Stage 2 breakout—the same technical map Ethereum printed earlier on the daily timeframe. How price behaves around the former base top will determine whether the advance is accepted or whether the market slips back into consolidation.

The tape from the early-year high forms a clean Weinstein-style cycle. Stage 4 delivered a persistent markdown from the $148–$156 region. Lower highs and lower lows defined a declining channel that remained intact through the June flush into the $61–$64 low. Sellers controlled the directional flow during that entire phase.

Stage 1 Basing and the Compression That Set Up the Move

After the decline, Solana entered a prolonged Stage 1 basing process. Volatility compressed and price stopped making meaningful lower lows. For several months the market coiled between roughly $72 and $98, with repeated squeeze boxes gradually absorbing remaining supply. That extended coil is what made the later expansion tradeable. Without the time spent building the base, the subsequent breakout would have lacked structural credibility.

Stage 2 Release and the Change of Character

Stage 2 arrived with the vertical release out of the final August compression box. That impulse marked the true change of character: the market stopped trading the base and began trading the advance. On the chart this is the same event labeled as the rising-channel “Stage 4 breakout”—the decisive break of the old declining rails. The large green expansion off the last purple squeeze (approximately $72–$78) carried price into the $110–$114 area and confirmed that demand had seized control.

Stage 2, however, is not automatically secured by the initial breakout. It is only accepted if price continues to hold the breakout structure and keeps the old base underneath it. The current pullback is therefore the first real decision point after the release—the same decision Ethereum faced after its own Stage 2 lift-off.

The Parallel with Ethereum’s Daily Structure

Ethereum provided the cleaner template earlier: Stage 4 markdown from its 2025 high, a long Stage 1 coil, then an impulsive Stage 2 release out of the final compression box. After that release Ethereum did not continue in a straight line. It returned to test whether the old base had flipped into demand. The entire ETH thesis reduced to one question: was Stage 2 still in force, or had price returned to the base?

Solana is running the identical sequence at a different absolute price. The rhyme is the analytical point. Ethereum’s decision zone sat at $2,420–$2,500—the line between “the advance is accepted” and “this was only a breakout-then-return.” Solana’s equivalent line is $94–$98. If the Ethereum experience taught anything on this cycle, it is that the first pullback after Stage 2 lift-off is where the regime is either confirmed or revoked. Solana is now in that same bar of the tape.

Current Price Action and the Two Paths Forward

Price has already completed the hard work: it left the Stage 1 range with an impulsive daily expansion and ran into the $110–$114 region. Since that release, Solana has been digesting under the recent spike high near $114 and oscillating around $102–$110, with the latest print near $110.27. This is the first genuine test of whether the breakout holds.

Two primary scenarios define the next phase:

Solana Faces Critical Test at $70: What Traders Should Watch Before Going Long

Continuation — Daily closes continue to hold the rising breakout channel and the top of the old base near $94–$98. Pullbacks remain constructive and keep the June–September rising rails intact. In this case Solana stays in Stage 2 and opens a measured continuation path toward the next supply zones from the prior markdown: first $118–$122, then the $133–$138 shelf, and ultimately the $148–$156 prior-high cluster if the channel remains undamaged.

Failure — Daily acceptance back into the Stage 1 box. That outcome would reclassify the expansion as a breakout-then-return rather than a new advancing phase. The market would still be basing, not trending—the same reclassification that would have applied to Ethereum had it surrendered the $2,420–$2,500 shelf.

Key Levels Defining the Regime

The breakout and decision zone sits at $94–$98. This is the line between “Stage 2 still in force” and “back in the base.” It is Solana’s direct equivalent of Ethereum’s critical shelf.

Near-term supply resides at $110–$118. A reclaim and hold above the recent $114 high would provide the next confirmation that the channel is expanding rather than merely digesting.

If the rising channel continues to hold, stretch supply appears at $133–$138, followed by the $148–$156 shelf that marked the origin of the Stage 4 decline.

Invalidation for the Stage 2 reading requires a daily close back through the last compression shelf and into the heart of the Stage 1 range—acceptance below approximately $78–$81, not merely a wick. Loss of the rising channel combined with acceptance under $94 is the first warning; a break of $78 would constitute a full regime change. If the stage fails, downside references sit at the $72 squeeze floor and then the $61–$64 June low.

Practical Framework for the Structure

This is a hold-the-structure long, not a chase-the-green-candle long—the same rule applied earlier to Ethereum. Preference is given to strength after a successful hold of the $94–$98 decision zone, or to a higher low that remains above the old squeeze shelf near $75–$81. A dip that returns into the middle of the Stage 1 range is not the same trade; it represents a different regime.

If Solana loses the rising channel and accepts back inside the base, the appropriate response is to stand down. The thesis is the stage change itself, not a permanent bid on the asset. Watching Ethereum and Solana together remains useful. If Ethereum continues to defend its Stage 2 shelf while Solana loses $94–$98, the divergence would be notable. If both hold their respective old-base tops, the majors would be telling a consistent story.

Why This Chart Matters Now

Ethereum was technically cleaner first: markdown, base, compression, release—all readable on the daily without forcing a narrative. Solana has now printed the same four frames. The only question remaining on this timeframe is the one the market always asks after a Stage 2 lift-off, and the same question Ethereum is still answering: does the breakout become the new floor, or does it get given back?

The Stage 2 structure remains valid while $94–$98 holds on a closing basis. That does not imply Solana cannot return to the base; it simply defines the current decision point before the daily resolves the question. Stages can fail. The disciplined approach is to wait for the close rather than react to the wick, and to let the market confirm whether the advance has been accepted.
